Ed's Wind Rivers Trip Report

Quick note to say that Ed Huesers has posted a detailed report on our ski tour with igloos in the Wind River Range on the Grand Shelters website. You can find it here.

Photo info: Dawn at Camp 2 after a snowfall. Canon EOS 450D, Canon EF-S 18-55mm IS@25mm, 1/60@F8, ISO 100, raw file converted to JPEG in Lightroom 2.

  1. That is a amazing scene in the photo Chris. I will go read all about it.

  2. Read the report Chris, sounds like great fun. Never slept in an igloo........... :)

  3. The photo's in Ed's trip report are pretty incredible and I love the igloos. They must have been a blast to sleep in.

  4. The igloos are great to sleep in - roomy, quiet, comfortable, dry, surprisingly warm and lights sparkle and glitter on the walls. Unlike in a tent you have no idea what the weather is doing outside and it doesn't matter. This was my third igloo trip - the previous two were in Yellowstone and I posted about them on March 8, 2008 and March 15, 2007.
