Next Book: A Year in the Life of the Cairngorms

My next book will be a collection of images of the Cairngorms, to be published this summer by Frances Lincoln. The pictures were taken over the last six years and cover each season, hence the title - A Year in the Life of the Cairngorms. Every aspect of the region from the glens, forests and lochs to the mountain summits is illustrated in the book.

  2. Look forward to buying a copy. Fantastic place. At least you won't have to use Photoshop to get rid of the wind turbines.

  3. Hi Chris,

The title suggests change – and a landscape does change with the seasons and that is what I enjoy so much about this wonderful area on our doorstep.

There is a place within the Cairngorms that I visit often, usually once a fortnight, sometimes more – a place I never get bored with – rain, snow, sleet or shine – and I have many photos taken from this place in all seasons in all weathers – like last Thursday when it rained heavily and I’ll be back there on this Thursday despite the forecast for wild winds and snow above 950m.

I’m hoping your book will show this jewel in our crown of Scottish mountain areas in all weathers as well as all seasons.

I look forward to the book coming out.

    Cheers,

    Rob

  4. Sounds interesting Chris. Living in Cornwall I don't get many opportunities to visit Scotland; usually just one trip each year for some winter walking. Will be lovely to see the hills throughout the rest of the seasons - even if it's not in person!
